- Block of tempeh
- 1 tbsp Liquid smoke
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce/Tamari
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- 1/2 cup Water
1. Slice tempeh into thin strips. Not too thin, or they will break.
2. Place tempeh strips into a steamer basket for about 10 minutes.
3. Marinade them for an hour or overnight in the mixture of water, liquid smoke, maple syrup, and soy sauce.
4. Place strips in a pan with a little olive oil on medium heat, and cook until golden brown/crispy on both sides. You may add the leftover marinade to pan if you please.
